ConvertingEV has been on a mission to enable more people to convert to electric since 2022
Our Story
The electric transportation industry is evolving fast, and technology is changing every day. When I was young, I witnessed electric dominate the hobby remote controlled aircraft industry due to motor advancements making combustion engines obsolete. I became obsessed with electric motors and battery technology and knew that these advancements would change other industries soon. I went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and have since obtained a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering and worked as a Systems Engineer in the Nuclear Weapons, Nuclear Energy, and Power industries. Being on the cutting edge of technology advancements has continued to fuel my excitement for the future.
Being raised near the famous Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I grew up in the 4×4 world and quickly inherited the unhealthy addiction of working on cars and always modifying them to do things they were never engineered to do. So naturally, my two obsessions combined to push me into the growing hobby of converting cars to electric. As I got more into the hobby, I found there were more people looking for help on their own EV conversion projects then I could ever have time to help. And that is how ConvertingEV started.

What is the deal with the weird Logo?
You know how car repair shops always have something like a piston in their logo? Well that makes sense because the piston is fundamentally the core of an engine and the main technology that allows a combustion engine to work. Well, our logo is the same. I happen to be a total nerd when it comes to electromagnetics. Do a google search on SynRM and learn for yourself. I also think that their rotor design looks kind of cool.
